William R. Benson – Principal
Bill is a Principal of Benson Blackburn and brings over a decade of experience in consulting with public and private companies. Bill’s previous work experience with M Financial Group in Portland, Oregon has enabled him to effectively grow Benson Blackburn’s presence in the closely held and public corporate marketplace while supporting the needs of existing individual clients of the firm.
In particular, Bill enjoys working with business owners, key executive management, and human resource teams who strive to create an environment where clarity and insight can naturally flourish. Fueled with a passion for helping others overcome the complexities associated with owning and operating a business, he helps provide enlightened structure on the terms of each core team member for the overall good of the company.
Bill earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Bowling Green State University. Bill is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management chapter of Southwest Florida. Bill holds a Certificate in Family Business Advising (CFBA) designation from the Family Firm Institute, Inc. along with his Disability Income Associate (DIA) designation from AHIP. In addition, he currently holds his 2-15 License, Series 6 and Series 63.
Bill and his wife moved to Naples, Florida in 2010 from Cleveland, Ohio and he enjoys spending time with his family, working on his golf game, and practicing yoga.
